I did enjoy this book, but I feel it could have been written better, it felt as if the sex was the main plot point, and it had an anti-climactic ending.  I didn’t really gain anything from reading it. If you are a lover of Hades and Persophone retellings, you will probably like this. Sure, it's not the worst book, but I probably won't be suggesting this to someone, unless they like smutty books. For a book that has reviews for being very sexy, and kinky, it's pretty tame.

~1st POV, 2 POVS
This is still my Katee's favorite book and probably always will be. Persephone's brattiness and Hades's overprotectiveness warm my heart and make me giggle every single time. You don't read Katee's books for the plot, but it was still entertaining, and it introduced the world perfectly.
I thought she looked like a queen before, but I was fucking wrong. She's a goddamn goddess.

Exactly what I was looking for in a romance book. I didn’t think I wanted something about the Greek gods but here we are. I loved it.

I knew going in that Neon Gods is a dark romance, and I knew the basics of the story of Hades and Persephone and the rest of the Greek Gods of Olympus that I knew that this wasn't going to be a lighthearted romance novel. However, I did not know that the story involved three kinks from my "hard no" list, meaning that I skipped a good half of the book because I found the sex scenes more than squicky. Will not be reading the rest of the series.

This story is a dark and emotional retelling of Greek mythology with a strong focus on romance and erotica, set in a fast-paced, adventurous world. I really enjoyed this Hades and Persephone retelling.

Too kinky, lost my interest when he wants her to cry during a blow job.

This series was highly recommended to me by all of the algorithms, and I've liked some of Katee Robert's other works, but this was not for me at all.

I thought it was a fantasy novel and it turns out it was just a Greek gods version of 50 shades. Straight BDSM, no relevant plot, toxic sexual relationship framed as a romance in a fantasy world

This book was honestly a miss for me. I feel really bad about it because I thought I was gonna like it. It’s very spicy which some scenes I did like but the overall characters I found annoying and the plot wasn’t great.
