crazy how most adaptations leave out the entire second half as if the stuff with cathy 2, hareton and linton aren't the best parts of the book. i don't think they're very similar characters, but i feel the same way about heathcliff as i do snape. isabella did nothing wrong <3

Yes. Great read. Preferable to Jane Eyre.

Well I hated every single character as promised. What an odd book to be considered a classic. And I’ve heard people wanting to find their “heathcliff”. What a strange thing to say. It was for sure underwhelming, but at least I can say I’ve read this classic.

UTTERLY BEAUTIFUL. had so much fun reading this altho ofc i got confused during the start. bronte sisters never disappointed me.

a short brain thought dump is that i admire bronte sisters (as in charlotte and emily, i haven't read any of anne's works yet) constant theme is that they commercialize it as 'romance,' but once you carefully read their famous works, it contains very disturbing themes about society. i like it so much. if i have time, i might read about their biography or something alike.

automatically in my 'best 2022 reads' shelf
