I keep going back and forth on my star ratings for this volume because I have a lot of feelings on the various stories that are contained in this single volume (four unique stories in all somehow??). The main event however is the titular arc "Storybook Love" where we get the most status quo changes thus far in the series. The final reveal in this arc leaves me feeling... Weird?? It's a weird and unfortunate turn of events (with some confusing consent details) and in the end it left me slack jawed, on to read the final one off issue in this volume.

More entertaining than the second chapter with some fairy tales but has a sidelined plot. The plot is quite haphazard and vague- things are just happening, no mystery, drama or climax. There is no cliffhanger to make me want to read the third one.

Give me more!!! The story, of course, is wonderful. In ready for the next volume. My only gripe is that, in mobile/tablet, this volume has a terrible interface. The zoom in bit is awful and leaves out a lot of the artwork. Still five stars, but i prefer the view where each panel gets its own page. Oh well. Love the story either way.

This was probably the most action-packed of the series I've read so far and I really enjoyed the little random issue in the middle with the American folk lore, although it was pretty... cheerfully gruesome? This series continues to keep me reading, but not quite wholeheartedly. It's fluffy comic reading when I'm not up to serious reading (and not all comics have to fit in this category), but I suppose that's okay.

Not so big on this volume. It feels like leftover odds and ends. Some side stories, some single-issue stuff, and a brief continuation of a story from a previous volume. Feels like Willingham is flailing around for content.
