The YA books I'm reading this year seem to be working so well for me; this one is no exception! You know the book is good when you're halfway through it and texting your other reader friends on how they need to read this book.

This book follows Sloane and Liam who are best friends. Sloane is so excited to visit Liam in California this summer, however, their summer plans get cut short when Sloane finds out Liam will be working on this bachelor-like reality show for the summer that stars the lead of one of Sloane's favourite teen dramas, The Cove. With the show needing one more contestant, Liam's dad asks Sloane to be on the show and offers to help her with her screenwriting career if she makes it to the final four. While she agrees, Liam and Sloane fall for one another in the process.

I loved every minute of this. I know this is a book I'm going to want to go back and reread over and over. This book was so much fun and I was thoroughly entertained throughout the story. I was smiling the whole time and it's just a book that will make you so happy. If you are looking for a happy fun book that will put a smile on your face.

I loved both the characters. Sloane, I could relate to as she is a teen drama nerd who wants to be a screenwriter. Liam's narration was so funny to me. I loved how both perspectives had a style to them and it felt like their own. Their narration style was unique to them. I found a lot of lines during Liam's POV that would genuinely make me laugh out loud. This book had me giggling! He was a funny and sweet character that I adored!

It's no secret that Friends to Lovers is my all-time favourite trope. I'm such a sucker for it and this would be one of the books I'd recommend to people as a go-to blueprint on how to do the trope right.  The development of the relationship between Sloane and Liam was at such a perfect pace. I loved how at the beginning these two truly felt like friends before we got to see the romantic relationship between these two. Their romance was so sweet! This is the kind of book that has you squealing and kicking your feet.

This is easily one of my favourite books I've read this year and I'm so excited to check out more from Kaitlyn Hill after this. I highly recommend this book and you should go and pick it up now if it interests you at all! Can't express enough how good this was!

I don’t know if this would be one I’d rave about. I was an okay read. I loved the idea of reading about something with the vibes of the Bachelor, but I didn’t really connect with the characters so it made it hard to stay invested in this. I really appreciate the chance to read this before it’s release, and I’m sure I would have friends who would enjoy this more than I did.

This book had everything I could want in a childhood friends-to-lovers with a bachelor twist!

Not Here to Stay Friends follows Sloane and Liam, who have been friends for years and years and years. Sloane is spending the summer in her dream city, Los Angeles, while visiting her best friend. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a summer of fun, right? That is, until both of them get roped in to work on an up-and-coming reality rating show called Aspen Wood's Future Leading Lady - or AWFLL for short. As the two navigate the world of reality television and bad intentions, they also have to decide whether or not they are here to stay friends or maybe become something more.

I could not put this book down! the writing was genuinely so fun to read, I felt for both Sloane and Liam and was wholeheartedly rooting for them the whole time. I loved learning about their relationship with each other, but also the relationships that they form on the show. I really appreciate that they had solid friendships outside of the main relationship, I feel like it gave a good depth of character and helped to show the different sides of love, not just romantic.

Not Here to Stay Friends is a delightful little romance that gives a peek behind the curtain of reality tv that will make you giddy for more.

I received this arc from NetGalley and Random House Children's in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVED this book! I think the only reason I can’t give it a 5 star is bc the idea of a teens bachelor is so weird to me lol like no thanks?? Those are minors?? But otherwise I liked it. I love how stupid the two leads are but how clear their feels are to everyone else. Iconic!! We love the old best friends with more than friendly feelings!! We love a rich friend too lmaooo. I love the whole idea of this teen show tied to the reality show and how much the characters love it even if it’s also a little weird haha.
I love the drama and the girl power and I love our lead guy being just a fool haha. I feel so bad for her and how shitty things keep happening to her but also she got a 100/10 guy with mostly all green flags so love that for her too lol.
Overall very good and very unrealistic!! We love that haha

This was what I was looking for. It was fun and funny and dramatic and such a nice escape.

This was the bachelor meets Laguna beach. There’s not much more that I can say. It’s a YA reality tv fever dream in a book.
