This book was OK. It was just a constant breaking up and getting back together that took it down a couple stars.

This book was every bit as fantastic as the first. First of all I love the body positivity in these books- this one especially. She is a plus sized woman and she knows that her self worth is not tied to her size. She knows she’s amazing and sexy and owns it, which makes it even more true. Second is the relationship that Mara and Jonas develop. Both of them have some preconceived ideas about the other, but as they spend more time together they learn a lot. Mara had a lot of trauma growing up and it has damaged the way she sees love and family. What grows from their initial ruse is beautiful. There is a lot to love about this book and one of them is the author’s note at the very end. It is poignant and so very heartfelt. I can’t wait to read Hen’s book next!

I liked this one. It felt like the characters dealt with some true real life obstacles, and it their struggles were messy in a real way. Looking forward to the Henrietta story!

I am really loving Kelsie Hoss and the amazing things she is doing in her books for body positivity and for sexual positivity!

The characters in this book were everything. Mara is our smutty author, and she wears what she wants to wear, sleeps with who she wants to sleep with, and is just your basic badass bitch. She has overcome some awful situations from her youth, and is succesful despite all of the hurdles that have been put in her way. Jonas is an accountant. To Mara, that's all you need to know about him, and she has very definite ideas of how vanilla he must be just based on his profession. Jonas also has the most amazing and wonderful family, which is something Mara has never really had. Being a romance author, Mara knows all the tropes, and is pretty well versed in fake dating, which is what she and Jonas decide to do for mutually beneficial reasons.

The romance and chemistry are sizzling in this book! There are so many fun moments between the two of them, but there are also important topics discussed. Plus getting into the mind of a smutty romance author is just plain fun.

I loved every minute of it, and can't wait to find out what love has in store for the last of our three besties, Hen!
