J’aurais aimé qu’il soit plus long, afin de développer davantage la psychologie des personnages et leur(s) romance(s) sur les 2 timelines. Je ne sais pas encore quelle trace cette histoire va me laisser, mais elle en laissera une une. Beaucoup de sujets dont évoqués, toujours avec l’amour comme toile de fond et qui laisse une note douce.

This romcom book is lovely and full of charm alongside some real emotion about family connections and how they guide the characters’ present day.

Why does Ash only write sad stories? I loved this so much. I loved the exploration of grief and love. I also loved the friendship love in this one. This was the type of book where I was yelling at it at every time switch. I was rooting so hard for these characters!

This book has so many of the things I enjoy in a contemporary novel. Lovely romance, a little bit of magic, reflective personal growth/coming of age, publishing industry…. 

I don’t know if I dare say it is a perfect book for me, but it pretty much is.
