The chapter on the Danish Girl was incredible - and now I too wanna fall in a rabbit hole on trans history throughout the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
Overall really interesting and worth reading, even if you are already familiar with the topics at hand.

Really enjoyed the way this author encourages all people to consider the trans experience in a way that validates trans folks and also educates those who might not know much about queer communities

This is the book I recommend to anyone wanting a general primer on trans and/or nonbinary identity. And with its mix of history, sociology, and memoir, it's both supremely readable and a great set of resources for future reference.

(And then I recommend "decolonizing trans/gender 101" by b. binaohan.)

This book thoroughly explores trans identity, trans issues, and intersectionality. The chapters read like essays, so expect a more academic tone. I'd recommend reading one chapter at a time, since the chapters are dense with scientific studies, historical accounts, modern trans figures, and the author's own experiences as a non-binary trans feminist. Go into this book with an open mind and access to the internet, since the author's references sparked many a Google search.
