I will admit I’m not sure if I truly connected to this book the way others have, but in reading other reviews I do see a beauty in it that at first I just found confusing.
The books conversation between the gods and a contemporary protagonist was odd but quite neat to have two very different stories side by side. The contemporary plot was interesting because of ‘his’ (as he’s given no name) struggle between sexuality and gender and I understood a great bit of that struggle. The body dysmorphia was done so beautifully too and how he approached it.
There were honestly some very impactful lines throughout it that left me thinking for a while and the drawings were all so pretty.  I enjoyed the read but I’m not sure if I’ll read it again tbh.
