I was excited and so pumped to read this book! This has been one bad arse series and I couldn't wait to see how it much better it could get! Bloodrose was incredible. I really didn't expect it to end that way, I was so shocked, and I guess that's part of the reason this book was so amazing. The action and the triumphs and the really cool twists and turns this book had left me breathless and begging for more and I couldn't keep my head on straight I was so caught up in this book! This is definitely the best in the series and I am so mixed on what I feel about the end! I think it's such a unique book series, completely different than any other book I have read, that the end really suits it. On the other hand I kinda wanted to end predictably, mostly because I wouldn't have teared up so much! But I think the ending it had was worth reading the whole series, it was just that good! This is definitely a book series I will never forget and I am so glad that I got to read them! This is such a memorable, Incredible and so unique from anything I have ever read, I absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed these books, and I am so grief stricken that this great series is over!

No. Just no. The book was going so well until the last 60ish pages. Maybe this is just the let-down of the series being over, but I'm so unhappy with the ending right now, I don't know what to say.
I'm going to wait it out before I give the book any stars. It doesn't deserve 1; the writing was fantastic and the story came full circle. But I'm hovering between 2 and 3 stars because I wasn't happy with the end.
Still, I have to hand it to Andrea Cremer; she wrote the book she wanted to, readers opinions be damned. That takes guts to pull out the ending she did.

Ugh... I wanted to love this book, but unfortunately I just never connected with the story. It was too easy. They met people who had all the answers, they knew exactly what had to happen. Then all they had to do was go there, see some really creative and well described parts of the world, fight a battle, then that was that. They got what they needed.
The other character relationships were interesting, but I didn't always feel the actions of the characters fit with how they evolved in the story.
While I'd connected with Calla, Shay and even Ren (a bit) in the previous books. Then Ren's fate was unnecessary. It just ended up being a way to have Calla's problem of choosing decided for her. But how she was written to bumble between Ren and Shay wasn't the best, I couldn't wait for the long drawn out "I love him... but I love him...." to end. Then the ending she chose was a disappointment too, there were so many other endings would have sat better with me. sigh...

The best book in the series. Although I found plot holes here the story was entertaining. I give it 3,5 stars, but I marked 3 no 4 stars cause the only death was my favorite character. I predicted this death in book one but still broke my heart. I know if there isn't main character is not realistic, but why... why the only one that I like?

By the end I didn't care about anyone or anything. The perfect definition of a slog.

3.5 + audio-Shay, Ren and Calla-A triangle of love and history, and loyalty. Calla must save Ren, even if it hurts Shay. She is trapped in this place between both men, balancing on a tight rope. The lives of her fellow Guardians and the Searchers depend on them working through this. They will face the greatest danger, lives will be lost, hearts broken. The ending bittersweet.
This was not a nice easy closing of the series. It is gritty and 'real' in it's emotional delivery. I knew one of the major elements of the story (thanks to spoilers) before I read it and I was still surprised. I am glad I read it, Ms.Cremer, is a great storyteller.

Okay, so this book was pretty spectacular, and I was firmly a Team Ren chick. That hasn't changed one bit. And the first 3/4ths of the book was definitely awesome because Cala wasn't being too stubborn about how she felt for Ren. And she let him in when it came to her feelings. But towards the end when Ren was attacked by Emile and. killed totally broke my heart. I swear, it was just awful. And Calla was super heartbroken when she realized that he wasn't responding to her. That was just sad. But in theend they honored his death, which was so sweet. I loved that. And of course in the end, the pack found out that they had to close the rift, and then turn into wolves for good. In the end it turned out really well and. I wasn't too broken over Ren after a while. But oh well, it turned out pretty well.
