The Story of Ariana quite literally putting her big girl pants on when she starts college and trading in the douche bag of a guy she thought she loved, for a guy who quite literally would give her the world but not without a few plot twists and traumatic events thrown in as obstacles along the way. This book is an emotional roller coaster of events that will tug at your heart strings and be quite a long read but you have to stick with it just to cheer on the MMC. There isn’t a lot of spice to rave home about in this book it is very tame.

What did I like
My my my Noah Riley you stole my heart. Noah was truly the star of this book for me. He was the reason I wanted to carry on reading. The relationship with his mother melted my heart.

What did I dislike
A little too long
Not enough spice
Chase your a jerk man too little too late

Read if your into
💎 Love triangle
💎 Emotional read
💎 Amazing MMC
💎 College football romance

I went into this hoping to love it but it fell flat for me. There were like 19 characters to remember, which was overwhelming, and I don't think I cared much if they got together at the end. I will say that Noah Riley is the blueprint for how to effectively communicate in a relationship.

Also ... did these people ever go to class?????

The stars are exclusively for
Noah swinging on Chase and Noah's mom

wow , what a rollercoaster of events 🫨

plot line: If she isn't mine in the end, I'll still be hers.
It's torture, but it's true...

For years, I've dreamt of what college life could bring and while some things changed, there was always one constant.

It didn't matter how wild I allowed my imagination to run, my future was clear, and he was it.

Until suddenly, he wasn't.

Now there's a new man in my life, one who isn't afraid to go after what he wants, and what he wants... is me.

They say first loves last forever... I hope they're wrong.

my thoughts:
honestly, I felt as though I should have created an “investigation board” to keep on track with this books plot and characters because it was A LOT to handle.

*March book club pick for Forever Reading Romance*

if like love triangles , sport and teen/young love romance books - I think that you may really enjoy this!

as a romance reader that rarely reads these tropes,  I was really hoping that I found a book that I could re-read and recommend to others - unfortunately this wasn’t the case.

don’t get me wrong , parts of this book was enjoyable but I felt as though there were quite a few let downs such as:
• the choice of dialogue / writing
• the events that took place within the plot (with no trigger warnings)
• the amount of characters and the length of the book

I think if there had been some more adjustments to the characters and plot before the release of this book I may of enjoyed it a lot more

what I will say though is… NOAH RILEY 🥺😍 he is the epitome of a book boyfriend and I know other readers will agree - so if you need a reason to read this book , let it be him.

overall , this was a long yet bittersweet book that I wish I had enjoyed a lot more.

This book had me feeling every emotion under the sun. I went from kicking my feet like a school girl, to screaming at the book, to bawling my eyes out. Following Ari as she navigates letting go and finding herself again was a beautifully raw experience. In this self discovery journey, she finds Noah. What starts off as a friendship, blossoms into love. Noah shows her what it is like to be chosen and to be truly loved. While their relationship grows, Chase realizes where he went wrong and tries to win Ari back. This causes tension across the board and while this tension builds, circumstances worsen. I was a snotty mess by the end of this, but the tears were well worth it.
