A boring, seemingly pointless follow-up. A good few heart-warming moments scattered throughout. This is one of those “no plot, just vibes” types of books, which was not what I had anticipated considering the first book and the description (which makes this narrative sound far, far more interesting than it actually is).

I felt like I was just waiting for the end and waiting for something interesting to happen simultaneously.
The “mystery” (if you can even call it that) is barely touched on in comparison to the other meandering slice-of-life plot beats, and is resolved in the most random, contrived way possible.

I can only hope that the third book in the series with Stephen King’s return to the character brings something more exciting and mysterious like the original entry.

Richard Farris weirdly reminds me a lot of the Doctor what’s up with that

Good continuation of the previous book, if a little dragged out. Despite that I finished it in about a day and a half; these books feel like popcorn. Fly by, not too much substance, but enjoyable. Might as well pick up the last one...

Honestly book two in this series was far more phenomenal than I first assumed it'd be. The plot was beautifully done in a way that felt cohesive with the first yet strong enough to stand alone (scar for flashback and references you'd need the first for). Excited to see the journey I'll be taken on in the last (I think) installment of the series that released this year.
