I enjoyed more of the stories than I didn't. Nice quick ones. Not bad

'The Egg and Other Stories' is a collection of short short stories, most with a science fiction, or sci-fi adjacent, setting or theme.
Short short stories are, in my opinion, particularly hard to write. In the space of just one to three pages, the author must introduce a character or concept, make us care, and bring the tale to a satisfying conclusion. Short short stories can come across as doodles, or half-baked ideas, or the seeds of longer tales.
Andy Weir's short short stories are interesting, thought provoking, and occasionally funny. They feel like campfire tales as told by someone steeped in science fiction. And, since they're served up in bite-sized morsels, they're perfect for those times in which you have just a moment: when you're waiting on a train, or standing in line. Why doomscroll through social media when you can enjoy a short short story?

This is a fantastic collection of tales that will make you question your assumptions about the world. Like most short stories, I wish each one was longer.
