Meh. For die-hard Doors fans only, and I'm a die-hard Doors fan and still don't find much worth out of this collection other than that it's nice to have on my shelf.

For years I've been told that Jim Morrison is a bad writer. 'pretentious 'juvenile' and 'sophomoric' have all been used to describe his writing. I went into this with low expectations (despite being a Doors fan) but found it to be an insightful book of aphorisms and poetry. Jim clearly loved film and I wish he'd written more on film theory as he had a very unique take on it.

Somewhat interesting, more for who wrote it rather than what the content is. Its wasn't bad, there were some nice moments, but if it was not Morrison that wrote it I suspect it would;d be long forgotten.
