I was reading it on my phone (I prefer physical) and it was too childish for me (Not saying it was entirely bad, but I’ve outgrown it)

Absolutely beautiful. It's well written, the artwork is gorgeous, and it gives you a "Toy Story"-like feel...only this is a bit creepier. LOVED it!

It’s been a long time since I’ve loved a book so much. I don’t really have the words to describe just how heartwarming and magical this story is. William Joyce is incredible and wonderful and if the world were a William Joyce story, it would be a much better place.

I would put my personal enjoyment of this book at 3 stars, but then again, I'm not the target audience. This is a book written specifically to resonate with children, especially those with beloved plushies of their own. Makes for some epic read-alouds.

Usually I can find the magic and fun in any children’s book, but this one was hard to focus on and enjoy.

I’m sure kids love the way the characters have their own words for things (slobbering instead of kissing), but to me it just added to my annoyance with the book. A lot of it also just didn’t make sense to me, and I thought the ending was super rushed.

I did really like the illustrations and the moral of the story. I thought the backstory of Zozo was more interesting than the actual main characters’ storyline. But isn’t that typically the way?

I read this with my girls, and we all loved it. It is a fun book that is entertaining but also meaningful.
