This book made me so very happy!!! I recognize that I am a totally biased reviewer, because I LOVE the Buffyverse so much (I mean I have a tattoo of Willow), but I truly think this series has started out as the perfect addition to it all! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!

Slayer isn't a bad novel at all! It's fun and action packed and also dark! The main reason it only got three stars from me was because I've never seen Buffy before so just felt like I wasn't really connecting with the story which I knew was a risk going in so I'm not mad about it! But, I really did like the writing style and am planning to watch Buffy so, I will be rereading this when I've done that and hopefully get more from it on a second reading!

I really really wanted to like this, but it was hard for me to get through.
I enjoyed the mentions of characters from Buffy, I enjoyed seeing Nina grapple with the two parts of her. But there was so much miscommunication or just no communication. Artemis bugged me a lot.

This was such a fabulous book. As a fan of the original Buffy, this book is a great addition to the Buffy universe.

This book took me a little while to get into. It was a little bit boring at first. But once Nina finds out who she is, it gets a lot better. I am dying for the next book!
