I love YA romance done well. But this one... well it isn't as well done as I would want it, it's more medium-rare.... (yeah, I make bad meat-related puns sometimes).
The plot, the whole story seems interesting when you read the blurb. But it doesn't deliver as much as it promises. The characters are fine, but the whole time I felt like everything was developed in a very childish manner. And the vocabulary used is a stereotype, which annoyed me most, teenagers don't talk like that. The atmosphere the book it carries make you think you're actually reading fanfiction. At least it did to me.
Overall, it's a cute and fast romance read, it'll give you some 'feels' (*pats myself on the shoulder for a smartly added teen vocab stereotype*), but that is about it. If you read it or not, it's up to you. All I'm gonna say is that it could've been far better.

Have you ever been reading a book on your ereader and looked at the notification that tells you how far you’ve progressed and it says 53% and you think, “What? How is that possible?” You’ve been so swept up in the novel that you’ve read more than half of it. And then the same thing happens at 90%. But this time, it’s kind of “awe, it’s been a great ride.”

That’s what happened last night while I was reading Kisses on a Paper Airplane. Time flew (haha, pun!) by.

I loved this little corner of romantic guilty pleasure! It did feel a bit rushed and I wanted more story which was why I gave it a 4 star review. It hit the spot and kicked me right in the feels!

I received this novella from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This felt like something I would have written when I was 14 and writing backstreet boys fan fiction. The writing actually isn't bad, but the plot was awful and unbelievable! I couldn't stand either main character and I ended up skimming most of the second half.

Absolutely adorable

This charming short read about a girl, a boy, fame and the quest for the perfect first kiss was an absolute delight, leaving me with a smile on my face and a warm cozy feeling. Part of me would love to see more of Hannah and Theo, but I also realize the delight comes from knowing just where to end, with all the possibilities in the world your first love offers

Airports become romantic and enlivening in KISSES ON A PAPER AIRPLANE. A hunky rock star, a quirky girl, and a first-class encounter create a layover that will make any starry-eyed reader jealous.

The story reads as fast as a connecting flight and, when you reach the final page destination, you'll find a smile on your face. No jet lag here.

I was provided a copy of this book from Netgalley and Inkspell Publishing.
This book needed to be longer. To me, if it would of had more development, it would have been better. In stead, it felt like a sequel to a full length novel. If you like quick YA reads about first kisses, you will like this one. For more of my thoughts, go to my blog. https://readingwithsam.wordpress.com/2016/10/08/kisses-on-a-paper-airplane-review/

OMG, what took me so long to finally pick this up?! I’ve had this eARC on my kindle for ages, as in, since August, but I haven’t had the time or the mood to pick it up. But because I’ve vowed to be better at reading my galleys this year, and my goal is to read my backlogged ARCs from Netgalley, I decided to start this one, and it was a great decision.

This is a very short book, VERY VERY SHORT, and that was my main complaint about it, because I needed more. Because the writing was absolutely fabulous. Sarah Vance-Tompkins tells this book through the POVs of both Hannah and Theo, though Theo’s are few and far between, and they are on the first person! The narration is so funny and clever. I was laughing the whole time.

The story was so cute and sweet! I was rooting for Hannah and Theo to kiss already, because they were just so adorable together. The characters are not 100% fleshed out, because, again, this is a super short book, but enough of their personalities and issues are dealt with. I really like how Theo helped Hannah to look at what she had a little differently and value life a little more. Hannah, in turn, showed Theo that it was ok to trust again and let go.

Obviously this is a case of instant attraction, but these two spend 2 days through 3 airports together, and end up talking about pretty important things for both of them, so the story made sense to me, even if a little too perfect. Speaking of which, I want a 1st class airport lounge like the one described in the book…

Guys, if you’re looking for a fast, small and super cute contemporary romance read, give Kisses on a Paper Airplane a chance.

Kisses on a Paper Airplane is a quick, simple read, but I honestly did not enjoy it.

Hannah Evans is travelling home to attend her mother's wedding. Her step-father-to-be got her a first class ticket from London, and during her time in the first-class lounge, she catches the interest of a good looking pop star AND FAINTS BECAUSE HE'S SO BEAUTIFUL.
There's instalove and there's over dramatic. How many people do you know see a good looking person and pass out. Like, I'm sorry, what?

Once conscious, she captures Theo's heart and they get massages together, they sit with each other on the plane, and then become besties on the verge of an instalove relationship during the like three days of travel and 5 minutes of her mother's wedding.

On top of the absolutely unbelievable story line, she talks like a fourteen year old. She's in college/university now, and she keeps talking about "the one" and saying like "is he my frog prince?" "Maybe I have to kiss a bunch of frogs to get my frog prince." I don't know if this book was supposed to be a kind of retelling of the Princess and the Frog, but it was so overplayed and the language was trying way too hard to be "relevant" and "cutesy".

Overall, probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone, unless you like fluff language and instalove...
