*review is for the series as a whole/no spoilers*

Does reading about ‘naughty’ Peter Pan count as healing your inner child? If so, I am healed.
On a related note we love some good spicy scenes and Nikki did not disappoint. (Please check trigger warning, we are far from vanilla)

I absolutely loved all the elements from the original Peter Pan Nikki took and developed into key world and plot elements. So often we get things like the main character really likes roses because it’s a beauty and the beast retelling. Nikki gave so much life to those elements that scream Peter Pan; Pan’s shadow, the crocodile, the bells of fairies, the second star on the right, etc.

My one grip with the series is that I wish some of the digging and intricacies of relationships and backstories had started earlier in the series. Not to say we don’t get any on this in the first too books but you can tell it’s a step up on the last two, without loosing spice I might add. Obviously this did not stop me from enjoying this series but I know it would have had a stronger grip on my book reading soul if it did.

This is definitely better then the first one.

You’re a wonder, Darling.”

The Dark One was much better then to The Never King because in this one, Peter Pan is close to finally locating his shadows.
Whereas Winnie has found a new forever home. This book begins where The Never King ended.

In this book, we get to see how much Winnie means for the guys. They never expected her to be their companion:

There she is giving me orders again.
And I'm the asshole that's beginning to follow them.

Someone they didn't know they needed, and she has forever changed their og plans.

I like that we get to see multiple POVs of different characters, like in the first book. Whether they are enemies, allies, heroes, etc; characters like Cherry and Captain Hook.
I'm looking forward to the third book, which will again leave me with that cliffhanger
  dark Winnie.

Again this is a RH.

These books are so addicting. The plot and the spice just grip you. I was so excited when I knew this was based around the mysterious Vane and this book delivered! I can not get enough of these lost boys. Another incredible addition to the series.
Also the spicy scene with the tree. I’m going to hell that’s all I know.
The only thing I will say is when Vane and Winnie finally come together it would be a little different than how it played out. I just loved the hate and venom of Vane. I could of waiting longer honestly just didn’t feel the bang.

Shout out to the audiobook narrators because it is an experience.

Wow! What an intense way of starting my new year, in this second installment of the book, we pick up exactly where we've left off. Pan's shadow, along with another mysterious shadow has been found and Winnie Darling decides to return to Neverland with Pan and The Lost Boys. If you haven't read the first book, I would suggest reading it prior as this doesn't work as a standalone.

To be honest, I preferred the second book to the first, it's a lot more action-packed and I love how we dive deeper into the character's backstories and we get good character development, I love how Winnie finally takes claim over the Lost Boys. These books are so bingeable, once you pick them up, you won't be able to stop. Although this is a dark retelling, I appreciate how the banter between characters at times lightens the mood and gives the reader a little break.

I'm so glad I decided to wait a bit before reading this book, it ends on a great cliffhanger and safe to say, I was thrilled to be able to jump into the next one!
