Khalid is perfection personified. Shahrzad is perfection personified. They're a thing of legends together. I can't even...

Also, I'm pissed with Jalal. He better make amends for everything he did and said to Khalid.

Schön zu sehen, wie Khalid da zurückkomt und erfährt, dass Shahrzad weg ist.

It was nice seeing the events of the aftermath of the storm in Khalid's eyes.

AGAIN, i don't understand why these novellas exist when they could have easily been another chapter in the original book.

VERY short story. Hardly worth rating, but a good follow up to the first novel.

His responsibilities had always been here. He did not deserve to hold anything he loved in his keep.

Oh, no. Not Khalid, PLEASE!
I feel really bad for him right now, and that would be an understatement.

Renee, PLEASE get them back together in the rose and the dagger. I can't bear this.

I liked that this picked up almost exactly where The Wrath and the Dawn finished. It was really interesting to see the initial aftermath and consequences through Khalid's point of view. I do wish it could have been longer but it's definitely made me even more excited to finally read The Rose and the Dagger!!
