I just adore the Owens family they make you desire for the small magical moments in life that are taken for granted.

This book is beautiful in the way it ambles, rolling poetically through the lives of three siblings as they learn what it means to be alive and to love. Plus a few rules about magic. ✨

Please note; my star rating on any book is completely subjective and limited to the label for each star.

1 Star I didn’t like it
2 Stars It was okay
3 Stars I liked it
4 Stars I really liked it
5 Stars It was amazing!

If I do actually have something to say about a book other than what my enjoyment factor was, I will write a review and share my thoughts. If I say I didn’t like a book but there wasn’t anything about it that I thought needed to be shared, then that’s it, I just didn’t like it.

If you’d like to start a discussion about a book or you’d like an actual review, ask any question you like and I’ll be happy to try and comply/respond.

Additional note; I do not feed the trolls. If you don’t have something constructive to say, or if you can’t say it in a respectful way, you won’t get a response from me. Ever.

If it hadn't been for book club I probably wouldn't have finished. I didn't like any of the characters, I thought the curse wasn't a strong enough conflict/plot/characters arc & nothing really happened. I did enjoy the world building but felt the characters were one dimensional & the magic was non existent.

I have just read the most beautiful book that I wish to keep in my life forever. Reading this book I felt the magick
inside myself surface. That soft but
humming sensation that one feels like electricity is running through the air.
Yep I'm in love with a book and how it makes me feel. Alice Hoffman has a beautiful writing style with prose and wisdom that flows through every page. This book is the story before Practical Magic it is about the aunts and their story of growing up witches. Their frustrations with life and the curse of love. How you should live a lot not a little.
