This competes with the first book as the best in the series. Lots of action and disturber. Some things I could anticipate happening, but the journey to get there was still rewarding.

Omg. That last minute betrayal. Can’t wait for the revenge killings in the final book.

Well I do enjoy this series, I love the world and the characters and Im really excited about Kahlila's prospects. I do kind of wish this was a trilogy because I expected the same amount of action and progression in every book as was in the first one but alas, it is more politics and fluff. Obviously I must read the last to see how things turn out.

Did NOT see the Zara betrayal coming! Excellent twist.
