Chase writes satisfying, heartwarming connections very well, and this book is no exception. I especially enjoyed the rise of the AIs and how they each came into their own. It reminded me of the feeling I got from the first contact plot line in her earlier series The Sequoyah Trilogy.

I was a little disappointed that Seger and Tausos didn't have stronger parts to play in the plot, since they seemed like such high-potential characters.

The end felt like a good place to wrap things up, but I hope the author revisits this world with a short story or two to check in on everyone and their ongoing adventures.
