Quick Summary: This was a classic second chance love story. Boy meets girl. Boy and girl have intense chemistry, which leads to rash spontaneity. Love declarations are made. Conflict separates the two. An unexpected occurrence happens and the two have the inevitable reunion that's both dreaded and longed for at the same time (at least by one party, but it's really both parties). Sparks fly. Both people go up in flames. Chaos ensues. Love-hate rears its ugly head. One party leaves causing the other person to finally realize that true feelings for the injured party were there all along. Remorse and reconciliation come on the scene. Forgiveness and soul-mate confessions lead to a happily ever after future.

This book really drives home the men are stupid and they need lots of forgiveness theme. The only saving grace to Elizabeth and Xander's relationship credibility is that the author got them both to a place where they realized that they were too young when they first met. Still Xander was a total ass and messed up a lot.

The H, he was a cold one. I'm not convinced he ever felt deeply for the h, either in the past or the present. He'd reasoned his feelings for the h away as lust and his feelings for her in the present were defined in his head in the same terms. Usually getting the H's pov goes towards making him more sympathetic, in this case the reverse was true. As for the h, she talks strong but doesn't walk the walk...a little kissy kissy and she's all his.
