I listened to this on Audible. I was shocked at how hooked I got! Great listen with some surprises.

I really love kya life story from she was a child to agrown women, how she grown up all by herself. She so strong, I could never be her. But the reason why I give this 4 star bcus of the trial scene kinda make me bored and the ending is really useless where the author still write about kya life till she's old and died-

When I initially started reading this book, I was reluctant. I persevered and I quickly started seeing why this book is so popular. As soon as I shifted the lens through which I read this book from a murder-focused book to a coming of age story about a girl who is “one with nature” everything changed.

The writing of this novel was great, in my opinion. The pacing was good (especially in the end). I appreciated how to trial and background alternated and you never really learned if a murder actually took place/who was the murderer until the very very end.

I cried, I smiled, I felt very connected to this novel.
