I read it in one sitting, it left me wanting more
Spoiler i wanted a happy ending and it was but at the same time it felt like she deserved more like so much pain shoul  be balanced with glorious amounts of happiness
, ended up with a connection to kya and a need to defend her relating to her lack of trust and empathizing with her need for other people but at the same time her fear of attachment and love, it's a deeply emotional book and it strucks you, leaves you with the emotions raw and deep

•What did I think of this book? (Mult POV,  narrated)
I'm so glad I finally finished it! I DNFed twice before! And I'm sure I finished it only because I listened to the audiobook 😆 Anyways the language used in this book, and misspelled words gave me headaches, then EVERYTHING was so detailed I almost skipped paragraphs because feathers, trees, the marsh was described sooooo much. im not saying it wasn't good but she could have cut the full descriptions out and the book would have been shorter and the book would still be good. Kya was abandoned by her mom, her siblings, and then her dad all before 10 yrs old. She had to learn to take care of herself and discover things on her own; loneliness and love. And overcoming the justice system.. in a murder. I would only recommend this by audiobook.

Good!!! I thought it was really really
slow At first and it made me struggle to be interested. I also didnt enjoy reading speech the way it was literally said. Its hard to read that, i wouldve preferred to be told the accent with which they speak?
However it eventually picked up and I liked it a lot!!! Loved how the court case served as trying to convince the reader either way too since you have no idea whether Kya really did murder Chase or not.
