This is a great non-zombie zombie book. It's fun, it's intense, I honestly thought it was just "gotta be near the end" at.... 5 hours in? Like, "oh, this is how it ends! No? It gets worse? O... Ok..."

Fun book. Don’t recommend reading it during a global pandemic.

A bizarre thriller mixing product testing, the cosmetics industry, and human cloning in…

Extreme Makeover by Dan Wells is about a company that accidentally makes a skin cream that causes those who use it to slowly transform into other people (regardless of race or gender).

I was hoping there’d be a cyberpunk or science fiction explanation, but I wasn’t satisfied with how the mess happened.

It doesn’t help that there’s a countdown clock to the end of the world without any explanation…

Naturally global conspiracy and espionage are light elements that are introduced as well…

I honestly felt this novel’s story is something that would normally be a long short story (such as one specific Stephen king story I recall) that’s been drastically drawn out…

I don’t know if I’d recommend this book to anyone…

I would give it a -1 if I could.

Yeah, it's that bad.

The concept behind the plot seemed great, but it failed to deliver. I was engaged enough to want to know how the book ended, but disappointed along the way and in the end.
I enjoyed the author's young adult series Partials, but was unsatisfied with this book.
