This was ok? I love Alexa Martin's other series, so I was a little disappointed in this one. I found the characters to be largely very one-dimensional, and the conflicts, while high-stakes, were all resolved immediately. I also appreciate some of the messages Martin was trying to impart, but I think her characters still came off as a little shallow. Like, Lauren is a super stressed working single mom (with a side gig) but still makes her daughter grammable lunches, even though she doesn't have any social media? Also lots of triggering dieting stuff in this book that is barely addressed.
