Disclaimer: In the interest of not padding my reading count, I combined my reviews for parts 1 & 2.

All mediums are valid, but I think some books are best consumed one way over the others, if it can be helped. There are times that I've reviewed audiobooks whose stories I think I would've enjoyed more if I consumed them in print, and there are books I cannot imagine consuming in any other way than in audio form.

I think the graphic audio is the superior choice for consuming to A Court of Thorns and Roses; it's nearly spot on with what I imagined in my head, with maybe one or two sound effects or small voice parts that briefly broke immersion.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for a Court of Mist and Fury. Book two is undoubtedly the favorite read in this series for a lot of people, and this production did not do it justice compared to what I imagined in my head when I read the paperback. There were some strange dialogue reads and music choices in pivotal scenes that threw me all the way off. The voice actors chosen for Cassian and Azriel were...definitely choices. I went on a deep dive and can't confirm, but I'd bet my left tit that the voice actor for Rhysand (who has an Italian last name) is from Jersey by the way he pronounced "water wolves" (wuoh-deh woulves). Chapter 55? Iconic, but you wouldn't know it if you listened to this audio first (chapter 42, overall superior in my opinion, was great though). It picked up in the final scenes, but most of the fun gooey stuff was mishandled, and it sucked to be on the receiving end of that. This audiobook took me nearly a year to finish, and there's definitely a reason for that.
