This novella packs a punch!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when reading Fire Night, but the novella took me by surprise and packed a good punch. Of course, Damon’s chapter was my favorite, and then Mads! I loved seeing the peek into each of the couple’s HEA’s. It’s not a “have to read,” but I’m glad I finally read it. And now, it’s time to finally close my chapter with Devils Night.

Overall:
This was a good wrap up for the series, adding a bit more thrill and mystery while simultanesouly giving readers a look into what was to come for the families. I feel like this book is a slight cliffhanger for Madds and I would love to have just his book, even it is shorter.

Overall:
This was the longer of the series, but I still enjoyed it more than Damon's book. There is less insinuated incest even if there are more sex scenes between minors. I went into this book knowing it was an HEA but there were several instances where I wasn't sure how it was going to be a HEA, keeping me guessing and unexpecting. Which I love in any story I read. I also love the gender role swap when it came to domination/submission and proposals. I was trying so hard to wrack my head around why and where Athos became important other than being an adopted child and still feel like there is more to the story with her. She definitely needs her own book.

I have to be honest, when I first started this series I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did! I loved the mood, the dark themes, the secrets and the betrayals, and while I can’t say I was immediately hooked, I did find myself gradually falling in love with the four horseman.

The series as a whole is about four friends that were high school hotshots, where three of the four have spent the last three years in prison for their pranks back in the day. Each book highlights a different friend and their respective love interest, with the most common theme being a revenge plot line. My biggest gripe, if you will, is that these men did not do nearly enough groveling, which is a MUST in this type of genre. Additionally, there was some questionable conduct for the high school aged portions, which always makes me feel a little icky.

sorry but no
i think the book was just boring for me
emory pissed me the fuck off to no end
you can tell she still clearly thinks she's better than everyone else
she was shouting about how in life you have to sacrifice things and how she sacrificed by signing the document as if forgetting that when she signed it she was trying to convince herself that she was doing them a favour...likeeeee make is make sense the fuck?
the whole thing with alex and aydin(i think that's his name but i don't really care) was just confusing cus at first she hates him cus he's a manipulating asshole (which he is) and he's also acting like a dick to her and i mean this in a non-romance angsty way, i mean like they were being genuine. to add he was part of the source of her past trauma too. next thing we know she's head over heels and he wants to marry her like?????????
also she's actually a really fucking self-absorbed and selfish person cus how is it that Alex comes to rescue both her and Will from blackchurch and she chooses then to be pissed off at Will and say she'll escape by herself when EVERYONE tells her if she tries to leave on her own she won't survive
and then they crammed so much into the end with practically every somewhat significant character showing up in one place, fighting, Alex gets SHOT?!?!?, a random seven or eight year-old girl-with no connection whatsoever to the story-is found living in the amusement park?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

the book was just shit and the worst in the entire series
