Alyce Caswell creates an interesting dynamic with Rass and Dom. They both lead solitary lives and one feeds off of the adventure of it and the other is drowning in its loneliness. I adore how mature Rass and Dom are about the realities of being solo. There is no jealousy regarding the past and I love Rass for that.

The family dynamics are intriguing too. I thought this in The Flickering Flame and it is emphasized in The Shifting Ice.

Ice is a quick read filled with lust, humor, and adventure. Rass and Dom make you want to take that adventure with them.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
