***5 stars for the newly improved 2nd edition!***

Amy and Neal have both suffered the tremendous loss of their spouses. Amy decided to honor her husband by continuing the family tradition of going to the Black Bear Guest Ranch as her husband would have wanted her to do. Neal is Amy’s brother in law. Neal just lost his wife Em, to a sudden aneurysm. Both Amy and Neal are in pain but Amy is determined to not allow their mutual pain to consume them. Amy drags Neal along on the annual family trip and here my friends are where the adventure really begins!

Backstory-

I read the first version of this story about three years ago and I absolutely adored it! As a matter of fact, I loved the story so much I wanted to buy a paperback just so B.G. Thomas would sign it. Sadly, a paperback was not available however, B.G. Thomas revealed some interesting news! While on a panel in Chicago, Thomas mentioned his intent to expand my beloved novella into a bigger story. Was this girl excited? HELL YEAH! I already loved the story and couldn’t really imagine it being improved upon but whatever! I couldn’t wait to see what Thomas would do with it.

For two years I shamelessly begged this poor man for the expanded version, half excited and half fearful that the story would lose it’s “happy feeling”, the unique je ne sais quoi that initially drew me in. Needless to say, the new expanded version in one word is brilliant! B.G. added more depth to what was already there! He made the world richer by incorporating more about the ranch and most importantly, about the romance building between Neal and Cole, the much younger, sexy MC that Neal falls for.

This story will make you laugh it will make you cry and most importantly it will make you appreciative of those you treasure and serve as a reminder to cherish every bit of happiness you’re fortunate to experience in this thing called life. It's heart wrenching and agonizing in certain places, the pain of loss, sadness (and hope) is palpable. Keep tissue on hand

This was so well worth the wait! And of course, I was an angel, patiently waiting for this revised version. I didn't put the poor author on the spot at all asking when? When? WHEN? Pffffft! :)

Happy reading!
