The final volume. The end. Lots of fighting, which I'm not much of a fan of. And I don't really feel like the epilogue added much that wasn't already pretty much led up to. Eh.

As a whole, Tokyo Ghoul was pretty great. :Re had a very bumpy start, but after new characters stopped getting introduced so much and we focused on who we had, it got a lot better. Worth a read if you don't mind gore and torture.

What an ending.

The art in Tokyo Ghoul is absolutely stunning. It's so messy and detailed. Like some places it looks like just scribbles, but it's so powerful. It feels like every single stroke has meaning. The use of the fully black panels or blank pages is so impactful. I held my breath looking at the wordless panels. Just absorbing the destruction and art of each panel. I love all of it.

The writing is so good too. I got lost a few times, especially with so many characters, but I really enjoyed the overall story. I'll definitely have to read this again because this feels like something you have to read multiple times so you can absorb everything. There's just so much happening. So many little details in the story and the art. It's really great. What a series.

Despite the end being so rushed, I truly LOVE this entire series with all of my heart

I have no words. This volume had me at the edge of my seat until the very end. I was grateful for the wrap-up at the end where we learned what happened to everyone. I was even surprised to discover some of my favorites actually survived! Β

I can’t imagine this series ending any other way. It was truly wonderful. Tokyo Ghoul as a whole has become a favorite manga series for me that I could definitely read again and again.
