I’ve been on a big rereading kick these past few months, specifically books I loved as a teen, and this series has been an interesting one to revisit.

I’m sure you are familiar, but just in case you aren’t, this book follows Bree, one of the newborn vampires creating by Victoria for her army. During this novella, we see how everything plays out from the enemy’s perspective.

I have to say, Bree really didn’t stand a chance! If there was one character that could’ve fit so well as a Cullen if given the chance, it was her. Even though you know how it’s going to end, you can’t help but wish it was different.

I wish we’d also had more of her and Diego, it all felt very rushed and you couldn’t quite gain too much of an attachment to them because it was so quickly over.

Similarly to the rest of the series, the writing isn’t great but it sure is entertaining.

Overall, novellas tend to be a little hit or miss with me, and while I didn’t hate rereading this one, it definitely isn’t high up on my favourites.

Wow. That was heartbreaking. I miss the Cullens, and wow I’m wishing Bree stayed. Like she would have fit right in with them, she could have had a chance but I feel very thankful I was able to get to know her for a short time that I did. I loved seeing Edward and Bree communicate, even Edward wanted to save her

A great addition the saga, a short retelling of the events from Eclipse through the eyes of bree tanner, the vampire teen who the cullens try to save
