WOW, I really loved this book - much more than the original series from this world 'The Guild Codex: Spellbound'.
Bookworm heroine, a 'bad' demon, magic contract... Convictions about the bad demons are going to be shaken, I can feel it.
Can't wait to read the sequel. <3

This book is an excellent example of why character development matters. I think the author did a great job with world building and the plot was intriguing. However, the characters and their relationships were where the story fell flat. The main characters were interesting, but not particularly likable. Zylas in particular didn’t seem to have much character development and the connection between him and the main character felt hollow. Overall, it was a fun read with an interesting premise, but it didn’t grab me the way I hoped.
