Iris and the Black family make for some combustible interactions. I liked that they all had different expectations and motives, but in the end, came together for the good of Iris. There was some redemption, but an acknowledgment that what happened should not have had to occur in the first place.

DEVOURED THIS BOOK. Iris had to find Silas Black after her father is killed. Intro Baron and Gabriel. We have a love/hate relationship with Baron. Oh the tension

Is it bad that the only "negative" part of this book for me were (what I would consider) C- smut scenes? Everything else made a lot of sense. "Spoiled ignorant Mafia Princess"? Yes, she is. She lived up to it many times.

Embraces her sexuality? Proven in the first page. (I would say that the author was trying to portray that this came out of boredom, but it turned into something she genuinely chased for the feelings).

Everything else made perfect sense.

Like other readers, I too wish she would have at least ended up linking up with the villain at one point. That would've felt like a true dark romance. Every other part of this book was on point. Though I will say, sometimes I'm too generous with my ratings because a 4 for some is a "4 for the genre" not a 4 in the world of reading.

I think the story was more *meh* than anything.

It was dark, full of steam, some twists. But I found it mostly predictable, and I wasn't sure how to feel about Silas specifically with the others. Gabriel was probably my favorite part of the story.

Overall it was okay, but not my favorite.

This has been on my TBR for years, and I was just now able to get to it. It was better than I thought it would be. I knew I would like it and it didn't disappoint.

I loved all four of the characters. Gabriel and Silas were definitely my favorite of the guys though. I feel like the connection between Baron and Iris just wasn't there as much as it was with Gabriel and Silas. I just wish we'd gotten more of them together. So I'm hoping to see more of them in the second book.

But overall I loved this book and would absolutely recommend.

I have never read a book like this and my jaw hit the floor so many times in the first few chapters. After that I was so enthralled and invested in this book. The dynamics of the Black family are definitely unconventional but Iris stormed in and blew everything they ever knew sky high. She was a fresh breath of air that they didn’t realize they needed. They taught her how to get her revenge and she taught them how to love.

::fans self:: whew this book! RH, age gap, steam, bad ass heroine, alpha males you love, seriously it's everything thing in one for me. This is the first book I honestly can't pick a favorite man cause I loved all 3 of them. Silas and his sons are
