A lovely debut collection of prose and poetry. Enjoyed reading. A mature collection of writings. Felt connected even though experiences vary. Highly recommended.

Wow. Wow. Wow.
Reading this after listening to the testimony by Christine Blasey Ford all day was both heart-wrenching and heart-mending.

Wow, these poems hit hard. I really found myself drawn to the longer pieces. Some of the short (4 lines or less) ones had Rupi Kaur vibes, which isn't my thing because it feels more platitudinous, but the rest were gorgeous and brutal.

imma let this one sit for a bit, but i’m pretty sure it’ll get upgraded to five stars later. simple, brutal, lovely. and a little queer, which makes it more of.. everything. wasn’t redundant like a lot of other poetry collections i’ve read. definitely the kind of thing you re-read multiple times. my faves from this first pass were artichokes, lipsing, inconvenience, & sabbath.
