1) Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

2) Genre: Sciens Fiction

3) Synopsis: Quarterback Quentin Barnes enters his third season at the helm of the Ionath Krakens. He's re-shaped the team in his image, and the time for excuses is over -- it's win, or be replaced.

4) Feelings: I love this series. I really do. It has football and aliens. How can you not like that? I am a little worried about where the series might be headed but I laughed out loud several times during this book. I even think about getting some sort of Quentin Barnes jersey I like it so much. I can't wait for the next book (well I can because I could never quite talk myself into buying the 34 dollar exclusive copy).

5) Final recommendation: Wonderful series and this book rocked. They are fun to read and listen to (Scott Sigler has these out in podcast form is you really want to give it a try.) I highly recomend it if you are an action or football fan.

I have the hard copy, but listened to the podcast. It was a fantastic dip into the GFL (Galactic Football League) I did not appreciate the cliffhanging ending, but as I have the next in the series, it is not a terrible thing. I am really liking Quentin Barnes world, and look forward to every new bit.

I really enjoyed the first two books but this one was to predictable. When Quentin's "dad" was found I instantly knew he was not his real dad. I also didn't enjoy how short some of the games were described. Some were just a paragraph, just wish it had some more depth in the game aspect. I really did like what happened in the epilogue and like the mystery it is giving the series. Can't wait to read the next one. Overall the series is awesome but this book just fell short of its predecessors.

A great third trilogy from Scott Sigler. He does a nice job growing as a writer, foreshadowing events throughout. Amazing world he created. Quite the nailbiter ending...so I guess we do not have a trilogy...but expecting a forth book.

Yeah, that was a lot of fun. I'm not going to recommend it to too many folks, because if you don't really like and understand football, I imagine it's a tough read. That said, best book of the series to date, looking forward to more!

This was such a fucking ride. I enjoyed every second of this twisty, turny, emotional roller coaster. The wait for the Graphic Audio version of the next book will be excruciating.

I love love love this series. While the focus is on football, its obvious other elements of the world are important and the world is fabulous.

This might be my favorite in this series, simply because of all the growing Quentin does as a person. I've always found the off field action as interesting as the on field action and its nice to see Quentin start to bridge those worlds.
