One Mixed Up Night was a delight to read. It’s inspired by From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, and it revolves around two sixth graders secretly spending the night at IKEA. The premise sounds strange, but it’s incredibly charming once you get into it. Frankie and Walter, the two main characters, get into some hilarious shenanigans while roaming around the closed IKEA.
While One Mixed Up Night is generally a lighthearted book, there are some emotional moments between Frankie and Walter, which I won’t spoil. Go read this book!
