mars was sitting in my tbr for months now, and i couldn't bring myself to start it... and man, that was an iconic first volume! probably one of my favorites so far!!! it has everything i enjoy reading, a loner, shy and innocent girl and a loud, flirty and popular boy who are just being drawn to each other like magnets. simple trop but it never misses! and what makes it even more special is the fact that she's an artist and he's her muse... so so fun, so so cliche and im here for it.

The beginning was interesting enough, I think the characters are fairly interesting and it's pretty fast paced, but I'm never a huge fan of the MC falling for the ML so quickly.

i love this style of over the top, cliche shojo manga… becuz of course the hottest guy in school randomly falls for the weird loner and then his crazy fangirls “bully” her by threatening to smash her hands like they’re in the mafia. just typical highschool things~ the art is really beautiful, and the romance is cute, despite some questionable antics from the male love interest…

Empezando el año, mi primer libro del 2024 y con unas sólidas 4⭐, es el primer tomo de Mars.
A decir verdad, leí este manga cuando era joven y lo disfruté mucho. Mi reciente inmersión en el mundillo de las novelas románticas me recordó eso y decidí releerlo.
Es un manga del género shojo, pero, para nada ligero. Trata temas oscuros y profundos como el bullying, el acoso sexual y la constante pulsión de muerte que tiene el protagonista masculino.
Tiene obviamente, como cualquier romance juvenil, todos los clichés propios de tal como el chico malo que no es tan malo y que salva a la chica inocente; pero le agrega un trasfondo más profundo en lo psicológico.
El arte es bellísimo y es un manga muy recomendable. 14 tomos más, allá voy.
