Okay so while I know this is a fanfiction, and a super cheesy one at that, I still really enjoyed this book. It was cute and fluffy and angsty and filled with hilarious and fun tropes. The story wasn’t afraid to call itself out (which I loved), and who doesn’t love a good happy ending? Overall, I’d rate it 4 stars. It’s probably more of a 3.5, but it made me happy. So who am I to judge?

A perfect love story that comes from two imperfect people. Yet, those imperfect are the ones that we all searching for. In ourselves and our partners.

If there's someone out there who has Olive's personality. I would want to meet and befriend her. She is amazing as a friend, student and lover. What more can I ask from her? For those who say she's boring. Don't blame someone who's her light is blinding the way yours is not. Olive is a friend who doesn't mind trouble comes to her way if that's what makes it stirs away from her loved ones, friends and lover. She's a student who thrives to do the best for her future and learns to overcome her weakness.

What more could I say about Adam Carlsen? His heart is something I envy of. His trust and confidence towards himself and his relationship make me realise that's the root of their relationship. Unwavering. He's maybe kind but he's not a fool. Once he realised the trouble, he immediately cut it out. Throw it away. Because no one could hurt his beloved under his watch.

The plot doesn't have to be complex to touch the reader's heart and the characters don't have to be broken to be relatable and loveable. Sometimes simple is the best choice.

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood was such a fun romance–and what an awesome setting of a STEM graduate program. I loved this so much. I loved the characters, the grumpy meets sunshine trope. I read it in under 24 hours and avoided my long to-do list. Steamy and funny. A great read. 5 stars!

SpoilerI won’t deny that I enjoyed it but it was not what I’d expected. The love hypothesis is marketed as a slow burn, and in my opinion it is definitely not one of them. Characters (at least one of them) already have pre-existing attachment, there’s no rivalry, they know each other and quite quickly discover their feelings (without much denial beforehand). I might just be spoiled by those thiccc books I’m currently reading *cough* Brandon Sanderson *cough* so I know what a real slow burn actually is 😅 (no hate) Nevertheless, perfect for some light reading)
