What to say about this book. I don’t regret reading it. I enjoyed reading the plot unfold. However, I don’t think anyone in this book was particularly likable. I think I finished it in one day because it was short enough to do so. Maybe I’d be more bummed that I read it if it took longer than one day? The best characters were not mains, and it was painful reading accurate depictions of family. I cannot fault the author for writing this novel, since I can at least appreciate it had an effect on me (pain).

Lots of unnecessary filler, weird plot & could not get behind main characters actions.

Thank you St. Martins for providing me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of the book

Iris Hagerty has been a bridesmaid for so many of her friends that she is going broke. She's stretched so thin it's been tough and her credit cards are racked up and are at their limits. Her sister Jasmine has now reached out to her and asked her to be a bridesmaid at her wedding. Worst of all there is a contest to see who is worthy of being her sister's Maid of Honor. Iris posts on reddit about her experiences as a bridesmaid and gets so much of a positive reaction that she creates a private group on Facebook which ends up turning into a large closed group.

The book is quite humorous for the most part - it feels like it could be turned into a cute and funny movie or series targeted at women. Overall it was enjoyable though at times it was a bit over the time but I did enjoy it and had some good laughs while I read it. I wasn't sure what the book would be about when I first read it and thought there was a good chance I wouldn't enjoy it but I did. I would rate this book 7.75/10.

I was not a fan of this one. I wanted to like it cause I was intrigued by the synopsis but I couldn’t stand the MC Iris and not being able to connect with a character especially in a book like this is really hard.

I did enjoy the the inclusion of the text messages/dms/Facebook posts and that the story was on the shorter side. But like I said I just had a really hard time connecting with Iris. She had a constant need to “beat a dead horse” about quite a few things and her relationship with her parents and younger sister was way more than dysfunctional. Her sister really was a difficult bride and was quite selfish in her actions towards others.

Just a thought. The need to have a healthy venting outlet is important and in some cases a post on the internet might not be the best place depending on the topic.

Thank you @netgalley and publishers for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

This one was so much fun. There’s something to be said for having a social media outlet to vent to and that’s exactly what Iris does. As a seasoned bridesmaid she somehow becomes the moderator of a Facebook group where fellow bridesmaids vent. Honestly I was so entertained reading those posts! This was a fun one but the highlight for me was that group and the posts!

This was a quick and fun read. However, I was hoping for a more relaxing experience than what I got. The non stop 2016 election mentions was too much too soon of that horrid time
