But why did he have to kill constance off, like I liked her, I wanted D’artagnan and Constance to be happy! This just hurt

I loved this book. It was engaging, fast paced, and incredibly interesting. The characters are all heavily flawed, making none particularly likeable, but you still end up attached to them and their story. It is nothing like any of the movies or shows, however, so don't go in expecting it to match up completely.

Poor d’Artagnan is going to go grey very early, it should really be called the
Ten
Musketeers, Lady de Winter is awesome, Athos gave the sickest burn of all time. 8.5/10.

Highlights: The interactions between the four friends, the surmounting court intrigue.

Recommended for: Swashbuckler enthusiasts, fans of the Fox and the Hound.
