Couldn't finish. Too many cliched characters and situations.

John Wick meets The Walking Dead minus the zombies. 😉
The lack of world building (most of what we know is written in the synopsis on the back) and no continuing issues to further explain the events held me back from giving this a full 5 stars. Overall, I really enjoyed this graphic novel. This story is set against the rolling hills of KY's Appalachian mountains and follows Kade Mercer as he battles the US's military occupation of his home state.
What I liked so much about this story is that it feels like home. The characters, their righteousness, their faults, and their loyalty can be seen in the people that I know and love. It also gives me hope that if in such a circumstance that my conservative home state would ultimately stand up for what is morally right regardless of our goverment's postion and influence.
