I thought this was going to be more sci-fi, so was left feeling a bit disappointed. It also felt quite long for a short story.

Silvia Moreno-Garcia's writing and character work are still strong, and I liked the messaging, but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy Prime Meridian as much as The Return of the Sorceress and Mexican Gothic.

This didn't feel like a SciFi but it did feel like a Silva-Moreno Garcia novel (which is not an insult I love her books, I was just expecting a SciFi ). I found this interesting and really liked the ending. It also made me quite emo at times. An interesting, short read

The perfect length and self contained. I initially thought it would be more scifi but I ended up loving it.

i really liked this novella, but i did catch a small error on pg 29 of the print version it says that a sol at 24 hours 29 minutes is 3% “shorter” than a day on earth. it should be “longer” and i spent a little while wondering if the Earth of this book had a longer day and that somehow explained a near-future Mars colonization. That is not ever disproven, but Occam’s Razor says this was an error, not world building
