Perfect for fans of the Disney Princess brand, The Princess Diaries, or Britain's royal family, this royalty romance manages to perfectly blend the sappiness that we expect from fairy tales while offering a deeper look at what goes on behind closed doors... if you know what I mean

Fun, sweet story

This was a very sweet storyline where the American commoner falls in love with the handsome prince and everything works out in the end. The best kind of romances are the happily ever after especially when there are more books in the series!

Royally Screwed by Emma Chase is a romance of your typical NY girl and not typical royal highness. Story starts when Nicholas, Prince of Wessco, comes to a diner, owned by Olivia's family. And after not very pleasing meeting, the journey of love starts. They start to hang out together, even though Olivia already knows that he is a Prince, but that's one of the reasons why he adored her from the start. The only problem is that in 5 months Nicholas is marrying one of the royal ladies and they cannot do anything about it, just enjoy each other's company until he leaves. However, he is supposed to stay in the US until he gets some sense into his brother, Henry, but after another scandal, he has to leave way much earlier and has to end up thing with Liv already now. But then she comes with him into Wessco and they spent three months in their love-bubble (except for few mini-dramas). Near the end of the book, when Olive agreed she is gonna be his 'mistress', another drama (but a big one) happens and she leaves. Then he gives up a throne for her and they have their happily ever after.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It was funny, it was cheesy, I laughed, I cried, it was really above and beyond. However, there are a few things why I don't give this book 5 stars but only 4. First, I was disappointed by this 'royalness'. For me, it didn't feel like he is a Prince and she is suddenly thrown into his world. I expected more fire into it, you know. And I kept telling myself that the second book will be all about her as a queen but nope. Which brings us to problem number two- he gave up his throne so he could be with his love, but what about Henry? For me, it was pure selfishness. First of all, he is being prepared all his life for this position and then in a second, he throws it down on his brother, without even thinking about it. I liked the Queen because she told Olive the truth and even though I hoped she would allow her grandson's happiness, I understand her decision. But not Nicholas's.
But if going for cute (sometimes steamy) romance, go for it and you are gonna be more than delighted.

Thank you SJ for recommending this book to me. This was an amazing read. I thought it was witty, heartwarming, and romantic. It is a story about an average working class American girl falling in love with the Crown Prince of Wessco. I loved every minute of the book. The major reason for me was the hero and heroine of the story. They made the book for me.

Prince Nicholas is the Crown Prince of Wessco. He is also the first in line for the throne and being King of his country. He is given an ultimatum by his grandmother, the Queen, that he has to announce the name of the woman that he wants to marry at the end of Summer. Also, he has to go to New York to try and find his younger brother, Prince Henry, while fulfilling some of his duties as Prince. It is in New York where he meets and falls madly in love with Olivia Hammond. I love story like this one because the hero goes from wanting to have several flings to wanting to be with one woman. Words to describe Nicholas: loving, passionate, sexy, and confident.

Olivia Hammond is an average girl trying to keep the family coffee shop and bakery open, while dealing with the bills. Her world turns upside down one snowy afternoon when a drunk Nicholas walks into the bakery. He in his super drunk state, says something offensive comments which leads to Olivia throwing an Apple pie in his face. He then started to come around often and she starts to fall in love. She found love in the most unexpected way. I guess that is why we should never give up on the unexpected. Life can lead you down mysterious ways to find what you need in life. Words to describe Olivia: sassy, humble, sweet, loving, and witty.

I thought this book was delightful read. It is told in alternating POVs between Olivia and Nicholas. This book was a modern retelling of Cinderella, and it had the perfect fairytale ending. This book was full of passionate and addictive scenes. It is now one of my all-time favourites. I can't wait to read Henry's book, Royally Matched. Overall, an incredible read.

I'm sorry but I can't. I know my mum meant no harm when she got this for me, but I can't keep reading this and maintain a dignity at the same time.
I picked the latter because, holy cheese, the boredom festival is real.
The fact that I can't even enjoy the cover properly, alone should say a lot, but I have the feeling that it wouldn't do this giant paper affront the justice it deserves.
*cries in sarcasm*
In short and for what I've been able to stomach read, this is a self-indulgent, clichéd, cringey and trite version of Cinderella where our dearest main character doesn't sing with her fellow mice (I'd have recommended it, though, since it would've added some spark to the plot) and doesn't lose her crystal shoe, but she surely does a great job at losing her head, and making me lose some brain cells in the process, as well. Olivia, honey, I'm afraid you're not 15, anymore. Get yourself a hobby, try knitting or bungee jumping, go back to your pies, I don't know, but leave the good stuff to people less immature, whiny and obtuse. Please.
The Prince™, Nicholas Arthur Blah Blah Blah Whatshisname is such a misogynistic, egocentric brat who, hear hear, is also impossibly hot. Of course.
Definitely no prince of mine.
Sex this, sex that. Dude, you need a hobby, too. Also, I don't know how it works with royalty, but I'm pretty sure crown and throne don't come with the permanent boner this guy seems to sport all the time. Seriously, if I were him, I'd take in consideration checking my blood pressure because it must be some kind of physical condition.
Royally screwed? More like go royally screw you.
If possible, very far away from me.

ROYALLY SCREWED was funny, steamy, touching, and heartbreaking all at once. Keep the tissues handy. But don't worry--there's a very satisfying HEA.

Highly recommended.
