The name-dropping was quite jarring, especially in the audiobook version, and it felt unnecessary to move the story along. 
That being said, it was interesting to get the story from the POV of a "bad" character, since we don't usually get that. This way, it provides challenging views and forces you to care for someone who you normally wouldn't care for.
It also made me want to write!

This is an enjoyable and original read. However the final plot twist is quite predictable and the ending generally becomes a bit ridiculous.

I am not sure how to feel about this one. I basically listened to this in two days because I was travelling. The first two thirds or so are really amazing, but then it gets kind of weird and I am not sure if that was really necessary. Moreover the book was definitely not subtle in most of its themes, and I am not sure if it really made me think by just so clearly telling me everything. I did enjoy reading from the POV of a unreliable and unlikable narrator.
