What a wild ride! I could feel June’s frenetic energy jumping off the page. 

I knocked it down a quarter of a star because June’s micro-aggressions were a bit too on the nose sometimes, but maybe that was intentional. 

Kuang gives you a lot to think about regarding self-worth, the nuance of morality, and how what we may see as true can be viewed differently by others.
