Considering the plethora of horrible books I have read lately, this book was quite pleasant! It kept me engaged and turning pages well into the middle of the night! Instead of paying attention to horrible writing I could actually pay attention to the plot - something I haven't been able to do in the past few weeks! Not something I would probably reread but definitely good enough the first time. Very refreshing!

This book........me no likey

To put it nicely, this book is not for me. Its so "no good" written (I'm not saying it poor written okay, that's so mean)

So a guy named Benson went to this school, he tought finnaly he can be free and started a new life, and apparently this new life isn't good at all -.-
Everyone in this school trapped and no one ever ummm free from it. There are CCTV everywhere, everycorner. There's no teacher at all.
And for the living, these students working to gaint points, so they could buy anything they afford. In order to survive they divided intro three club or three gank.

Society is for them who obeyed the schools, they are like school's dog who do everything the school told them.
And other is Havoc, the rebellions one i guess, ummm no they were like the opposite of Society they were so cruel and troublemakers.
And for those who didnt fit with the Two, would choose Divergent well i mean Variant.
So Benson choose Variant and spent his time to make a lot of poor plans (that he learned from TV *ohh puhleaseee*) to escape from the school, that's makes his friends in trouble. Thank you so much Benson. Looks what happened to Jane.

I decided to give Benson a second chance (to like him) when he love Jane and admitted it. But *Bang!* something awful happened to her (mostly because his fault ) guess what his thought about her! Its makes me want to use my super power to punch him! And lucky for him, my super power was umm let's say its too good for him so i didnt do that.

And i decided to not finish the book! Uukh this is just no a book for me

Along the same lines as Maze Runner, with its own twists and turns. I really liked it. And of course it sets you up for Book 2. Which I would be willing to read, so that is the mark of a series that will appeal to teens.

I really hate it when I have a review mostly written and then I lose it. This time, it was because a breaker was hit that turned off half the computers in the library. Luckily, I was the only one using one. Technology is totally taking over our lives. Which would be an awesome segue into this book review, if it was a different book.

The thing that first drew me into this book was it's mention of Pittsburgh. But then it wasn't set in Pittsburgh at all. But that's okay - it made me feel warm and fuzzy anyway.

Okay, so. Benson is a foster kid who, sick of the loneliness of his life, applies for a scholarship to a private school. He gets in, and heads to New Mexico.

When he arrives at school, however, it's not what he expects - he's met by Becky, the student in charge or orientation, who tells him that Maxwell Academy isn't like other schools. There are no adults. The students, divided into three gangs, do all the work including teaching and administration. Oh yeah, and they're locked in.

Benson doesn't love this idea. He joins the Vs, who are the group most likely to attempt to escape, but nobody really seems interested in exploring the options. They do their jobs, get paid their points, and follow the rules -- if they don't, the school punishes them with detention. Nobody comes back from detention.

For the first half of the book, there's a kind of "been-there, done-that" feel. But then something happens that changes everything - and of course, I can't really tell you about thatt, because it is a MAJOR SPOILER.

Suffice it to say, the second half makes the first half worthwhile. And the cliffhanger ending is incredibly confusing and, if its purpose is to make you incredibly anxious for the sequel, it serves its purpose well.
