I'm having so much trouble putting this review into words! Absolutely exactly what we all needed for Ashton and Nova! ❤️ I have a feeling Penny's story is next, and I couldn't be more excited about it!

My poor Ashton has had a rough time and I felt like his family did not do enough to help him through his darkness. I know it is not their fault but they just seem to acknowledge he is struggling but only Sadie (who is a child) seems to care. Ashton is the secret keeper in the family and has been trying to keep the family safe since he was 15. He is also helping prevent a secret society (the Ravens) from kidnapping children. He meets his FMC when a family friend's sister gets attack and Ashton has to protect her.

Things I did not like:
I was a little confused on the Ravens and how that went with the Black family or was that two separate things Ashton was trying to save his family from
Poor Ashton
Spoilerasking Nova to marry him like 12 times

SpoilerFMC being pregnant- just a lot of surprise pregnancies in this series

Things I did like:
Ashtons relationship with Sadie
Devil's Door bell and GG talking about butt play
Nova being open to leaving the big city
Nova still working on her fashion even in Vermont
Her relationship to Rylan

Tw:
violence
self harm
depression
kidnapping/slavery
toxic friendship
sex tape

A perfect ending to the series

What an amazing end to an equally amazing series. I have loved these Westbrook boys and their found family members since I first discovered Avery a year and a half ago. Every time I think she’s written her best book yet, she releases another one that’s even better than the last. Ashton and Nova’s story was everything I had hoped it would be and so much more. Between a grumpy Lochlan, Ollie, GG, Sadie Sunshine and the rest of the crew this book had me simultaneously laughing and crying from start to finish. I’ll miss the chaos of this lovable family, and I’m already looking forward to what Avery has in store next!

If you’ve read any of Avery’s other books, then you know this is the book everyone has been waiting for. And it was the perfect conclusion to this series. I’m so sad to see the Westbrooks (and company) go, but Ashton’s happily ever after was the perfect send off.

Ashton has been keeping secrets and fighting a war in the shadows for almost twenty years. And all it took was one woman to show him it was time to start living again. Nova had her own secret and had been keeping people at arm’s length since she was a teenager. These two beautiful souls were meant for one another and although the journey wasn’t easy, it was definitely worth it.

I loved this book. It had the whole Westbrook gang and added Nova’s family to it. Both families had similar values, in that family is more than blood, and similar chaos. They all supported Nova and Ashton and it was through that support Ashton was finally able to let go of all his secrets and step out of the shadows. As painful as it was, I loved his struggle. It wouldn’t have been as meaningful if he was able to just step away. He had to come to terms in his own way, and then prove to Nova that he was not only doing it for her, but for himself.

I have loved this whole series. And the epilogue and bonus epilogue felt like the perfect wrap up.
