I do love a female "villain" in Evelina. She takes what she's given (which is actually not very much in terms of respect) by her father and sister, and takes pride in what she does. For once, it is nice to see the male character deal with the idea of how much darkness he can accept in pursuit of his love/passion.

This is the third book in the Never After series. Just a reminder that these books aren't connected and can be read in any order

I really enjoyed this read! I felt that the story stayed true to the characters and the conflict was real, whereas a lot of dark romances I find stray from the characters and negative traits established from the beginning to make them easier to love by the end, and the conflict is minimal at best. BUT NOT THIS BOOK! I had a lot of fun reading it, I loved the two MCs and I wanted them together. A booktok rec I actually liked, shocking!
