Intriguing concept marred by spotty research. The author obviously did his homework in regard to weaponry and battles (I think I could manage to fire a musket after reading this), but skimped on social aspects. He mangled all the titles and his dialogue would switch abruptly from an attempt at 17th century conversation to exchanges all too modern. The plot was a stock one.
